Maintenance Engineer ensures machinery equipment and systems operate efficiently and reliably by performing routine maintenance troubleshooting issues and implementing repairs to minimize downtime. They may also be involved in planning and executing scheduled maintenance responding to emergencies and supervising contractors or other engineering staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance:
Performing scheduled maintenance procedures on equipment inspecting equipment and conducting routine maintenance tasks.
Troubleshooting and Repair:
Diagnosing faults troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and making on-site repairs.
Preventive Maintenance:
Implementing and supervising preventive maintenance programs to minimize breakdowns.
Equipment Installation:
Installing new devices and machinery.
Documentation and Records:
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and ensuring CMMS records are up-to-date.
Supervision:
Supervising contractors engineering and technical staff and leading/training maintenance workers.
Safety Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
Communication:
Communicating effectively with colleagues clients and other stakeholders.
Skills Required:
Technical Skills: Understanding of equipment and systems knowledge of different maintenance techniques and ability to read schematics.
