This is a remote position.
Paradigm is searching for a Software QA Engineer to support our client a global leader in the legal industry. The Software QA Engineer is responsible for writing automating and executing functional test cases for new software enhancements to ensure full application test coverage. Key tasks include collaborating with cross-functional teams to address software issues testing APIs using tools like Postman and Swagger and maintaining test automation frameworks. Additionally the position requires troubleshooting application logs building database queries and ensuring timely resolution of failed test cases.

As a Software QA Engineer you will:
- Ensure overall application test coverage
- Understand requirements and provide estimations
- Work closely with software engineers business analysts and quality assurance analysts to triage reported software issues
- Testing API using various tools like Postman and Swagger
- Identify and automate test cases to improve the automation coverage
- Ensure failed automation test cases are promptly corrected/addressed
- Analyze application logs and investigate root cause for reported issues
- Build database queries to investigate data-related issues
- Execute both automation and manual test cases and record test outcomes
- Keep repositories and test practices updated with the latest industry developments
- Design and develop automation testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks
Requirements
Our skills and experience wish list includes:
- A bachelor s degree in computer science or related engineering streams
- 2-3 years of experience in QA
- Some practical experience with automation using any of the following Frameworks: Selenium SpecFlow TestNG Data Driven Keyword driven related Frameworks
- Understanding of SDLC and STLC
- Should have basic to advanced SQL skills
- Strong functional testing knowledge and concepts
- Familiar with Database access using tools to review test results
- Experience in preparing detailed test cases executing them and reporting defects
- Experience working in Agile-Scrum process
- Knowledge on tools such as Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS) MTM (Microsoft Test Manager) Jenkins or similar preferred
- Experience working with Git
- Ability to multi-task and work separate issues in a fast-paced & dynamic company environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited direction or as part of a team
- Motivated to grow expertise in test automation through continuous learning and hands-on experience
- Proven problem-solving abilities and creative thinking
- Good communication skills with attention to detail
