Purpose Statement: The job of Director of Instructional Program Effectiveness is for the purpose of directing the implementation of MTSS supporting K-12 instructional programs and assisting the schools to address school and district goals.
This job reports to the Executive Director of Elementary Education and the Executive Director of Secondary Education. Essential Functions Provide programmatic oversight direction and support for MTSS.
Provide technical assistance and training to administrators teachers and school-based leadership teams to facilitate implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports at the district and school levels.
Technical assistance activities include observation and feedback modeling progress monitoring and other supportive assistance necessary to implement a Multi-Tiered System of Supports.
Coordinate the district-wide textbook adoption process in alignment with state and local guidelines. Serve as liaison between the district and state textbook office vendors and school sites. Maintain accurate inventory records of all instructional materials both physical and digital using district-approved systems.
Provide training and support to school-based textbook managers. Oversee ordering receiving distribution and collection of textbooks and instructional materials for all K12 schools. Develop and facilitate Multi-Tiered System of Supports training for school-based leadership teams and other stakeholders.
Plan coordinate and facilitate the implementation of academic universal screeners at the elementary middle and high school levels as needed. Analyze data at the district and school level to inform instructional planning and monitor the effectiveness of academic and behavior instruction at the core supplemental and intensive instruction/intervention levels (tiers 1 2 and 3) Facilitate the development of multi-tiered assessment problem solving and instructional supports for students at school sites.
Provide training technical assistance and support to school sites to develop plans to monitor and evaluate the fidelity of core supplemental and intensive instruction and supports. Support the ongoing implementation of a documentation system to ensure sufficiency of supplemental (targeted) and intensive interventions.
Model and facilitate the evaluation of the types of responses to instruction/intervention for large groups small groups and individual students using systematic data analysis tools. Facilitate the involvement of students and families in the development and evaluation of supplemental and intensive interventions.
Review literature in the field and attend workshops to remain knowledgeable of innovative and current curriculum improvement programs. Correspond with innovators in the field. Where feasible visits other school systems to inspect and observe improved methods of instruction and curriculum.
Disseminates findings to concerned principals for the purpose of conveying information and/or recommendations regarding district curriculum. Collaborate with educators and other stakeholders to create safe healthy and supportive learning environments for all students.
Support the Executive Director of Elementary Education through consistent professional development and direct contact with school level interventionists. Support the Executive Director of Secondary Education through consistent professional development and implementation of programs and supports related to secondary schools.
