Description

Join Learning Grove a leading nonprofit early childhood education provider serving Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky for over 40 years. In our beautifully designed high-quality classrooms you will inspire and nurture children from 6 weeks to 6 years old as an Early Childhood Education Teacher. Using research-based strategies such as the Constructivist Theory and embracing child-led play and social-emotional learning you will design and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to each childs unique needs. Job Requirements

  • Education & Certification:
    • Minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) is required; an Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
    • Completion of a State Approved Orientation for Child Care Providers with daily implementation supported by the Director/Assistant Director.

  • Experience & Skills:
    • Prior experience working with young children demonstrating effective classroom management through positive redirection problem solving setting appropriate limits and active listening.
    • Ability to develop implement and assess a high-quality developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters intellectual social-emotional physical and language growth.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build strong relationships with families and collaborate with colleagues.
    • A strong commitment to equity diversity and inclusivity with the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding program details.

  • Physical Demands:
    • Must be able to sit stand walk bend and lift objects of up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Curriculum & Instruction:
    • Plan implement and evaluate a developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports each childs intellectual social-emotional physical and language development.
    • Use assessment data to adapt and enhance individualized learning plans.

  • Classroom Management:
    • Maintain a clean safe and stimulating classroom environment that reflects our high standards and home-like quality.
    • Effectively manage daily schedules transitions and classroom activities using strategies based on Constructivist Theory and positive redirection.

  • Family & Community Engagement:
    • Establish and maintain strong trusting relationships with families through regular communication and involvement in setting developmental goals.
    • Collaborate closely with lead teachers center directors and in-house coaches to continuously improve classroom practices.

  • Professional Development:
    • Participate in ongoing coaching and training to further enhance instructional strategies and classroom management skills.
