YMCA child care in Kelowna is growing. We are looking for engaged energetic and passionate educators to join our team! As an Infant Toddler Educator in our YMCA programs you will use observations skills to plan a YMCA Playing to Learn emergent curriculum. Childrens play experiences are used to build a dynamic learning environment.
Reporting to the Manager of Child Care Programs an ECE Infant Toddler Educator will facilitate a high-quality child care experience for children ages birth to 3 in accordance with YMCA standards and provincial requirements.
Additionally the YMCA of SIBC participates in the Early Childhood Educator Wage Enhancement program offered through the Government of BC.

- Plan implement lead and evaluate specific expectations of curriculum to ensure YMCA Playing To Learn curriculum is maintained
- Support colleagues and connect with families to provide a comprehensive program plan that is developmentally appropriate
- Actively participate in programs with children while being able to coordinate care and meet the demands of staff children and families
- Establish and maintain positive daily communication and interaction with families providing quality customer service and building meaningful relationships
- Actively ensure licensing standards and safety standards are maintained for all childcare settings and outings
- Execute behaviour care plans utilizing a child-centered approach by engaging parents and educators and other YMCA staff
- Actively participate and promote philanthropy through YMCA Association initiatives
