Job Description
Amazon is looking for a Business Analyst in the Hybrid Store team. This opportunity is ideal for candidates looking to have a steep learning curve expand their knowledge of retail e-commerce & customer behavior and derive insights from data to influence key business decisions for Amazon customers and derive continuous improvement using data analysis.

Key job responsibilities
A Business Analyst role is a high visibility role who works with multiple stakeholders and teams across the org to derive insights from data and support day to day business decisions.
Some of the key result areas include but not limited to:
1. Own the design development and maintenance of ongoing metrics reports analyses dashboards etc. to drive key business decisions
2. Ensure data accuracy by validating data for new and existing tools. Learn and understand a broad range of Amazons data resources and know how when and which to use and which not to use.
3. Work closely with marketing product category customer service tech and finance stakeholders to understand the business requirements and provide analyses.
4. Understand trends related to Amazon business and recommend strategies to stakeholders to help drive business growth.
5. Identify develop manage and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations that will help shape the direction of the business.
6. The ideal candidate actively seeks to understand Amazons core business values and initiatives and translates those into everyday practices.
A day in the life
This role provides opportunities to influence high impact / high visibility projects within the organization. To perform your daily tasks one requires high attention to details proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities simultaneously. This is a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is expected a superior and crisp verbal/written communication is primary skill and ambiguity is a norm. Bias for action customer obsession and ownership are some of key leadership principles this role should strive for.
This role requires superior analytical skill set able to quickly address problems and apply analytical expertise to rapidly solution and deliver. The whole cycle would involve interaction with many teams. Successful candidates must thrive in fast-paced environments which encourage collaborative and creative problem solving be able to measure and estimate risks constructively critique peer research extract and manipulate data across various data marts.
- 1 years of data analytics or automation experience
- 1 years of capacity planning operations planning business analysis or similar experience
- Bachelors degree
- Knowledge of data pipelining and extraction using SQL
- Knowledge of SQL and Excel at a moderate or advanced level
- Experience with data mining tools like SQL SAS SPSS or similar
- Knowledge of SQL/Python/R scripting MS Excel table joins and aggregate analytical functions
