The role
The State Rezoning team currently has exciting opportunities for passionate planners ready to turn big ideas into real outcomes. As a Senior Planning in the team youll play a key role in analysing complex rezoning and planning proposals providing strategic advice and crafting clear high-quality reports that support the delivery of projects aligned with the states infrastructure growth and sustainability goals.
This role is all about balancemanaging priorities in a fast-paced environment navigating diverse stakeholder needs and translating technical planning into plain English that drives action and results.

What you will bring to the role
- Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to craft clear concise and persuasive documentsincluding briefing notes reports and correspondence
- Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges and adapt to evolving situations.
- Solid time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate and present solutions ideas and recommendations.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
What is an essential requirement:
- Degree in urban and regional planning or other relevant discipline
