Job Title: Congresses & Events Senior Manager
Location: Barcelona Spain (hybrid)
Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join Galderma as Congresses & Events Senior Manager.
The role reports to Global Congress Director.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
Lead operations with efficient team organization and ensure quality and consistency on all events
Support the Global BUs and regions in their strategic and operational event management
When not leading an event coach and advise the global lead
Deliver a premium service to our KOLs while remaining within compliance
Enable and encourage the cooperation between Global BUs to facilitate the IDP implementation on events
Collaborate effectively with representatives from marketing sales medical affairs C-suites or markets
Finance
Manage the organization and financial follow-up of the events organized by the team
Plan spends for the year per event
Monthly follow-up
PO follow-up
Budget checking and reconciliation
Cross-charge for every event
Budget optimization across events
Branding
Ensure that corporate branding guidelines and congress playbook are followed and integrated across all our events
Update existing materials and guidelines
Support the review of booth designs in the markets for approval and provide suggestions when needed
Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a similar role 10 years experience withing the events industry for pharmaceutical clients/companies overseeing high level sales and events conferences with management experience (at least team of 4-5) showing solid mentoring skills (people development coaching capacity to challenge).
Event management experience ranging between 10-1000 people.
Exhibition knowledge including sponsorship negotiation experience
Booth construction knowledge
Experience working cross-functionally with all levels of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
Experience of building strong clients relationships
Ability to understand the event objective business and audience to align with the overall strategy and needs of the client
Standards driven with the desire to succeed and operate successful events
Knowledge of current compliance standards and legal aspects of pharma events
Strong organizational multi-tasking and time management skills
Creative problem solver team player and respond well to change
Proactive in sharing ideas
Handle pressure with calm
Strong budget management
Detail orientated with strong administration skills
Effective communication skills
Fluent in English and French speaking is a plus
Willing to travel at 50% including weekends
