The Gwinnett County Human Resources Department isseekinga highly professional and experienced Confidential Executive Assistant to provide advanced administrative and strategic support to the Human Resources Director. This is a pivotal confidential role requiring discretion initiative and a deep understanding of human resources functions and public sector operations. The ideal candidate willpossessstrong organizational skills a high degree of professionalism and experience supporting executive-level leadership in a government or public-sector environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between the HR Director and internal/external stakeholders.
Manage the HR Directors calendar meetings travel communications and confidential correspondence.
Coordinate high-level meetings agendas presentations and reports with minimal direction.
Draft proofread and manage sensitive HR documents memoranda and correspondence with accuracy and discretion.
Conduct research and compile data for special projects and presentations.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all personnel and sensitive departmental matters.
Support departmental HR functions including budget tracking personnel transactions and policy updates.
Assistin tracking and supporting departmental initiatives strategic planning and performance goals.
Act as a resource for internal departments elected officials and external agenciesregardingHR processes and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Director.
Associates degree in Business Administration Human Resources Public Administration Business Managementor a related field. ABachelorsdegree is preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in executive-level administrative support preferably in a government or public-sector setting.
3yearsexperiencein human resources or knowledge of HR policies and procedures highly preferred.
Advancedproficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) and experience with HRIS or document management systems.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience supporting an HR Director City/County Administrator or comparable executive-level official in a public agency.
Familiarity with local government structures personnel policies and labor relations.
