Job Posting Position Title: Weatherization & Home Repair Assistant Pay Grade: Classification: 1 Reports To: Weatherization & Home Repair Director Supervises: n/a Standard Work Day: 8.5 Hours Monday-Thursday 7:30a-4:30p FLSA: Non-Exempt Job Summary: The Weatherization & Home Repair grants are State and federally funded programs that provide weatherization services and minor home repairs to eligible residents. The Weatherization & Home Repair Assistant will be working closely with the Program Director the Assistant serves as a primary point of contact for client inquiries related to program eligibility application procedures and service status. Key Responsibilities: - Responding to phone and email inquiries
- Assisting clients in completing applications
- Processing and organizing incoming applications
- Managing and updating the programs wait list
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive client records
- Client follow-ups regarding application status
- Coordinate regularly with contractors regarding active projects
Required Qualifications: - High-school diploma or equivalency
- Valid Drivers License and the ability to be insured under the agency policy
Preferred Qualifications: - Associate Degree or undergraduate work in clerical studies is preferred
- Knowledge & experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Minimum 2 years customer service experience
- Knowledge of home repair and weatherization services
Additional Eligibility Qualifications: - Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check
- Must be able to successfully complete a drug screen
Competency: - Good oral and written communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Travel: - Occasional night weekend or overnight travel out of county and in county travel required
- Occasional support during on-site project visits may be required
Work Environment: - Normal work environment. Extended hours may be required during critical workloads
- Majority of time is spent in an office setting within the agency facility.
Physical demands: - Requires standing bending reaching sitting in working with office equipment such as computer telephone etc.
Essential Functions: - Responsible for assisting Director with applications for all projects (HWAP HAGP HPG EPP etc.) and keeping an updated waiting list for each project.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete client records to assist Director with reporting requirements of the agency and funding sources.
- Responsible for fielding and answering department calls.
- Responsible for driving to customers homes or jobsites to complete paperwork and/or construction conferences.
- Ensures timely and accurate completion of all necessary paperwork and correct filing and submission of applications.
- Attends trainings and meetings as required.
- Works with PICCA staff to ensure wait list is up to date and accurate.
- Ensures all contractors certifications and agreements are compliant and up to date.
- Refers clients to other PICCA programs and services.
- Has ability to obtain certifications to complete on-site energy audits for EPP and other energy programs.
- Certifications from agency trainings
- Other duties as assigned.
