Overview of the Malden Public Schools:
The Malden Public Schools (MPS) is a richly diverse school district located within the Greater Boston area and accessible by the MBTA orange line train. Maldens student body comprises approximately 6800 students who represent 59 different countries and speak 67 different languages. We have 1 early learning center 5 K-8 schools and 1 high school. We are committed to providing high expectations for all learners through rigorous instruction and culturally responsive practices and pedagogy. General Description: The Malden Out-of-School Time (MOST) Program provides after school vacation and summer programs for the Malden Public Schools. Our programs follow the MPS calendar and the after school programs operate from school day dismissal until 6:00pm including early release days. Full day programs are offered during February and April school vacation weeks and during summer break. It is our mission to provide high quality affordable Out-of-School Time care to Malden students in grades K through 6.
The Afterschool Teacher works directly with students to ensure supervision safety and participation of students in all aspects of the afterschool program. Programs are offered at Beebe School Forestdale School Linden STEAM Academy and Salemwood School.
