Role Definition:
This position is in CFD and Engine Performance team which provides performance and simulation support for Caterpillar Business Units around the globe. The engineer has responsibility to develop software application for gas turbine performance. He or she will work closely with the team members and IT support team to design develop and maintain Solars performance methods utilizing DevOps and Agile methodology. This position requires working knowledge to develop a full-stack web interface for Solars proprietary FASTE software that is used to analyze predict and guarantee the performance and emissions of the companys current and future product line.

Uses CAD to perform basic drafting such as wire frames solid objects and array of objects.

Creates views of objects in 2 and 3 dimensions; creates perspective drawings and orthogonal views.
