We recycle and remanufacture over 950000 tonnes of cardboard every year. We make boxes from 100% recycled paper or kraft both of which are easily recycled through established recycling services. Our network includes 18 state-of-the-art cardboard box facilities and around 153000 productsoffering you the choice and supply chain certainty you need.
Our corrugated cardboard packaging comes in an enormous variety of sizes shapes and board types to suit your needs whether youre a small business or a large multinational. We provide high quality cost effective packaging for all markets including beverage packaged food dairy industrial meat fruit and insulated leakproof retail-ready boxes for food products to export packaging and custom-designed solutions we have a box for every product.
The Role:
Reporting to the Shift Manager this role will be permanent full time working afternoon shift with our busy production team in Smithfield.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Operating production machines and associated equipment for the manufacture of cardboard packaging
- Assist with job changes and associated tasks
- Perform quality inspection checks and other procedural checks to ensure the best quality is delivered to our customers
- Housekeeping duties and any other ad hoc tasks required as part of a site production team
- Contribute to a safe working environment for yourself and the team
What You Will Bring to the Team:
- To be successful in this role you will have to be able to operate in a fast-paced dynamic manufacturing environment.
- You will be fit and healthy.
- Have strong interpersonal skills (clear communication self-confidence teamwork and collaboration)
- The ability to work under pressure and display a good eye for detail particularly in quality control.
- Most importantly is your attitude youll be performance driven be adaptable to changes in the workplace and be keen to learn new skills processes and procedures.
- Youll ideally have previous experience working within a manufacturing environment and hands on experience operating machines.
