Within our Analytical Services team we have a functional service provider solution which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff while allowing you the employee to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company all while maintaining full-time benefits.
Key responsibilities:
- Support routine testing of plate-based assays such as ELISA MSD and AlphaLISA methods.
- Involve with routine testing of flow cytometry cell-based assays sample preparation cell count and cell viability assays for different cell and gene therapy programs.
- Perform basic data acquisition and statistical analysis with clear and concise documentation in electronic lab notebooks and present to internal teams as necessary.
- Collaborate cross functionally across different teams (PD AD and other external partners) to ensure timely delivery of data and information.
- Some weekend work/Holiday work is necessary for the job.
- Assist with lab organization and compliance with lab safety protocols.
- This position is lab-based and requires 80% lab testing and 20% sample/data management
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry Biochemistry Material Science Immunology Biology Molecular Biology or similar
- Scientist: Previous experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2 years)
- OR Masters degree
In some cases an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education training and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Hands-on experience with different immuno-based assays such as MSD ELISA AlphaLISA.
- Hands-on experience and technical proficiency with mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques flow cytometry potency and PCR techniques.
- Experience with or understanding robotic liquid handers (Hamilton or other) for automated sample preparation.
- Understanding process development for cell and gene therapy products.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail with the proven ability to solve problems and to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team adaptable multitasking goal and timeline oriented and strategic thinker.
