Job Duties
In a shared services environment assists with the preparation submission and monitoring of the biennium budget and annual operating budget; prepares and submits grant applications and reports; and identifies potential agency cost savings
Minimum Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) governmental accounting and budget management; federal grant requirements.
Strong oral and written communication financial analytical and computer skills. Demonstrated proficiency in office technology including: financial accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook Access) and/or similar systems or software.
Demonstrated ability to collect extract and analyze financial data; identify and explain financial trends variances anomalies and agency financial position based on data; prepare federal grant applications grant status reports and financial reports and statements; prepare maintain and reconcile budget documents; manage and complete multiple assignments and meet deadlines; manage inventory records; recommend cost saving measures; respond to inquiries and audit inquiries; and work effectively both independently and as a team member.
Additional Considerations
Education training and/or experience in accounting finance business or related field.
Experience preparing monitoring and executing budgets.
