Job Type: Full-Time / Per Diem / As Needed
Department: Radiology / Diagnostic Imaging
Under the direction of the Department Director supervision of the Radiology Supervisor and in collaboration with radiologists the Radiologic Technologist performs advanced diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and age-specific care standards. This role requires technical expertise professionalism and a commitment to compassionate high-quality patient care.
As a frontline representative of the Radiology department the technologist interacts daily with patients families physicians and staff demonstrating excellent communication and service skills. The position also supports quality control initiatives mentors less experienced technologists and participates in the on-call schedule. Occasional travel to off-campus locations may be required for mobile imaging needs.
Key Responsibilities:Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic diagnostic imaging procedures in compliance with established protocols and safety standards.
Ensure accurate positioning and technique for optimal image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
Provide age-appropriate care and support to pediatric adult and geriatric patients.
Act as a resource and clinical mentor to junior technologists and students.
Document all procedures accurately in the EMR and PACS systems.
Maintain equipment cleanliness functionality and readiness for use; report malfunctions promptly.
Participate in departmental quality assurance and improvement programs.
Uphold the highest standards of customer service and patient care at all times.
Travel to satellite locations as needed to perform imaging procedures.
Participate in the rotating on-call schedule to support departmental needs.
Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) of the American Medical Association.
California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license required upon hire.
National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required upon hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire.
Previous experience as a radiologic technologist in a hospital-based setting.
