Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Hourly Rate: 13.68 15.00
Location: Kirkbymoorside
We are working on behalf of a small inclusive primary school in Kirkbymoorside that is committed to ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive. The school takes pride in its strong community values collaborative ethos and nurturing environment.
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs and Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The role will involve working across the classroom as well as supporting small groups of pupils with guidance from an experienced SENCo and a committed staff team.
This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about inclusive education has a patient and empathetic nature and is eager to develop their skills in a caring and well-supported setting.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
Supporting the learning social and emotional development of pupils with additional needs
Assisting in the delivery of tailored learning plans under the guidance of the SENCo and class teacher
Encouraging independence communication and positive behaviours in class and small group settings
Building positive relationships with pupils staff and families
Contributing to the inclusive and community-driven ethos of the school
