You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe 4-H & Youth Development Program Assistant plans implements and evaluates a progressive series of educational programs and experiences that work toward multiple life skill outcomes such as leadership citizenship communications personal life management and knowledge.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Performs the duties below; other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate.
Supports 4-H and Youth Development program in Harris County and assists with implementation of 4-H action plan.
Communicates effectively with members families volunteers and other staff.
Responsible for the recruitment and support of new and existing members and families.
Implement curriculum enrichment in schools churches or other youth serving organizations.
Develops partnerships with relevant public and private organizations.
Secures public and private support through fundraising and local grants.
Gathers and prepares information to submit to media regarding events activities and members.
Assists in the marketing promotion and evaluation of 4-H Youth Development programs.
Plans and implements educational workshops for youth and volunteers related to 4-H programs.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:
Bachelors Degree.
Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years of experience with educational programs and managing volunteers.
Licensure:
Valid drivers license (Texas by hire date) and a safe driving record.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Speaking/teaching/education experience.
Working with diverse audiences.
Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills.
Strong organizational written and oral communications skills.

Hours:
40 hours per week / Monday - Friday
Flexible Schedule including nights weekends and holidays as required.
Additional Information:
