Position: APS6 Equivalent Senior Technology and Security Officer
Location: Canberra ACT (On-site)
Estimated Start date: 1 August 2025
Duration: 12-months with a possible extension
Security Clearance: Positive Vetting
Job Overview:
A Radio Frequency Technologist is required by our clientto work across a variety of disciplines including RF hardware design software configuration testing and completing systems engineering documentation and procedures. You will be required to support team members in their required area of expertise and share their knowledge to aid in improving staff understanding.
What Youll Do:
- As directed undertake the design integration testing and documentation of engineering subsystems
- Plan design manage execute and report test and test procedures using appropriate testing tools and techniques
- Produce technical documentation
- Undertake testing and fault finding using electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes logic analysers spectrum analysers) of RF communications systems and components.
- Assist in the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures
- With guidance perform design review
Technical Skills required:
- Technical Skills in Coaxial Optical and Signalling
Skills/Experience:
Design integration and testing of engineering subsystems
Planning and executing test procedures
Producing technical documentation
Fault finding and troubleshooting
Participating in design reviews
Continuous Improvement Initiatives (e.g. procedure development/enhancement)
Knowledge sharing and team support
