General Statement of Job
The Academic Services Coordinator provides academic services to include the Upward Bound tutoring program monitoring participant grades and designing curriculum for the summer College Simulation Experience (CSE) by performing the following duties.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Works with the Project Director to recruit and select new Upward Bound (UB) participants.
Coordinates programs and the academic assessment of all participants.
Works with Project Director to develop Individual Plans of Action (IPAs) for all new and current participants.
Coordinates the UB tutoring program.
Trains supervises and evaluates the performance of project tutors resident assistants and part-time instructors.
Coordinates the development of the summer CSE curriculum and co-curricular activities.
Provides academic advising and other support services to participants.
Coordinates and monitors participants grades.
Coordinates and evaluates the standardized testing of participants.
Coordinates the A Day in the Life student shadowing program.
Creates the UB newsletter.
Assists in the tracking of UB graduates.
Performs other related duties as required.
Education Experience and Licenses
Masters degree or 4 years of experience in TRIO education or related field
