Job Description

At St Augustine Academy we are committed to nurturing curious minds and inspiring a lifelong love of learning. We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join our dedicated MFL team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled language teacher who is eager to deliver engaging lessons contribute to curriculum development and support students in achieving their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach French and Spanish up to and including GCSE level delivering high-quality engaging and inclusive lessons.

Inspire students to develop strong language skills and a deeper cultural understanding of the countries where the languages are spoken.

Support the development of schemes of work and curriculum resources that ensure progression and meet the needs of all learners.

Use a range of effective teaching strategies to support language acquisition and promote active participation.

Monitor assess and track student progress using data to inform planning and targeted support.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages achievement confidence and enthusiasm for language learning.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the wider life of the academy and help raise the profile of languages across the school.

Informal visits are welcome.
