As the Academic Chair for the School of Health and Human Services you will:
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
The minimum educational qualification for this position is a Bachelor of Nursing or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. You are currently registered or are eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) and are in good standing. A Graduate Degree would be considered an asset.
You have a minimum of seven (7) years (full-time equivalent) of recent and progressive occupational experience in healthcare. You have a minimum of five (5) years (full-time equivalent) in a formal supervisory management or leadership role. Experience in your field includes leadership/management and formal teaching at a post-secondary level.
Experience coaching mentoring and ensuring appropriate development of team members in the achievement of excellence.
Experience managing and forecasting budgets.
Occupational experience that includes managing in a unionized environment would be considered an asset.
You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suit and e-mail. Experience with Learning Management Systems such as Brightspace and experience with Human Resource Information Management systems would be considered assets.
You have experience in training/facilitation preparation delivery and evaluation.
