Job Summary
Everest Global Services a member of Everest Group Ltd. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in the Management Reporting division within its Corporate Financial Services Department. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Management Reporting and support several aspects of financial analysis management reporting and accounting for the Group.
This is a hybrid position working 3 days in office 2 remote in our Warren NJ headquarters.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support the Groups overall segment and departmental GAAP financial reporting requirements.
Ensuring data accuracy by confirming data loads are properly integrated into TM1 reviewing and validating edit checks and proactively following up on any issues to resolve discrepancies.
Maintain and update TM1 / Planning Analytics for quarterly business changes.
Oversee designated accrual accounts with responsibility for ensuring comprehensive detailed reporting for each.
Calculation and preparation of journal entries (including intercompany) and reconciliations as needed.
Prepare quarterly analytics and research general ledger activity. Review analyze and interpret financial results.
Prepare reporting packages and presentations for the executive leadership team as well as for SEC filings the Earnings Call and Financial Supplement.
Take full ownership of assigned areas develop required analytics and continually drive process improvements.
Collaborate within finance and other departments including international subsidiaries to support various analytical and reporting requirements.
Develop a strong knowledge and understanding of the financial systems that are critical to the reporting process.
Key resource for current transformational projects. Work closely with source data IT and stakeholders.
Maintain strong internal controls and deliver thorough audit support for internal and external auditors.
Assist with ad-hoc analyses and strategic projects determined by the needs of senior management.
Skills:
In-depth understanding of financial processes reporting structures and data flows. Ability to work with substantial amounts of data.
Advanced analytical skills the ability to problem solve.
Strong technical skills stay current with available technology to enhance processes.
Excellent communication and people skills to develop strong productive relationships with various functional areas within the Company.
Experience working with Peoplesoft as well as Oracle as we transition ERP systems. Hands-on experience with Oracle SmartView and Narrative Reporting to help transition from current reporting tools.
Work Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in a related field preferably in accounting finance or business systems analysis.
3 years of financial analysis experience with a public company preferably within the reinsurance / insurance industry
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office products (Excel PowerPoint etc.) Expert knowledge of advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Tables VBA/Macros and VLOOKUPS is required.
Experience working with Oracle including reporting tools SmartView Narrative Reporting etc.
Proficiency in data management analysis and reporting within relational database type tools. Experience in IBM Planning Analytics / TM1 strongly desired.
