Develop and maintain queries reports dashboards and data feeds for internal and external users.
Analyze business requirements and functional specifications for technical implementation (SSRS reports dashboards data services etc.).
Design and implement technology best practices guidelines and repeatable processes.
Explore and keep abreast with emerging BI technologies and best practices that support or enhance the teams processes tools and capabilities.
Assist senior staff and team members in assessing and improving business operations and processes.
Provide support as required to ensure availability and performance of developed reports and dashboards for internal and external users.
Assist in assembling complex ideas issues and observations into useful explanations and clear direction for the team.
Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members.
Participate in meetings and business and data analysis activities with cross-functional teams to gather required reporting and dashboard requirements.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Intermediate or advanced knowledge of T-SQL SSRS SSIS SQL Server Data Tools and SQL Server Management Studio.
Ability to develop maintain and tune complex stored procedures queries views user-defined functions cursors and common table expressions.
Performance tuning and query optimization knowledge
Experience with code testing best practices / methodologies
Intermediate or Advanced knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS)
Experience working with version control systems (e.g. Git)
Experience in developing and maintaining ETL processes.
Programming/Scripting experience and knowledge of data/system analysis software development life cycle (SDLC).
Knowledge of SQL Server database administration
Intermediate to advanced skills of Excel including VBA
Preferred but not required:
Knowledge of HMIS
Familiarity with SSBI tools (e.g. Tableau PowerBI Power Pivot)
Knowledge of data-modeling data warehousing concepts and methodologies
Knowledge of SSAS
Familiarity with Agile development
