The Manager Stewardship & Operations is responsible for the overall strategy and management of donor stewardship and data systems for Relationship and Fund Development and other units within the VP Community Engagement portfolio.
The Manager carries out initiatives to thank and steward donors cultivate prospects and build and strengthen relationships in support of UFV. The incumbent identifies and administers appropriate donor recognition practices through the UFV Ripple Makers program and liaises with departments in the University to create reports collateral materials and branded items.
The Manager supports the Relationship and Fund Development team to ensure all current and future data needs are met for cultivation solicitation and stewardship purposes. This position is accountable for establishing training programs creating documentation materials and implementing best practices to ensure that systems operations and data quality are maintained and in accordance with UFV policies and procedures. Oversees all development services functions including donation processing and receipting financial reconciliation data analytics and prospect research.
Minimum Bachelors degree in Business Administration Communications Marketing Philanthropy or a related field from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Minimum five (5) years of work experience in database management and/or stewardship with preferred supervisory experience and involvement in a post-secondary environment or similar fundraising organization.
Expert proficiency using Raisers Edge NXT software or similar CRM database required. (RE Professional certification preferred).
Demonstrated credibility maturity integrity and collaborative skills to lead others by influence.
Experience with one or more donor engagement platforms such as Blackbaud NetCommunity and/or Gravyty.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Word Excel Outlook and SharePoint with preferred exposure to Power Automate.
Proficient knowledge of Canada Revenue Agency guidelines and regulations for tax receipts.
Working knowledge of privacy legislation related to donor and alumni records management.
Experience managing or supporting donor recognition programs.
Experience overseeing high profile and private stewardship events an asset.
Experience working with organizational leaders to steward donors.
Passionate about working with people; exceptional customer service and relationship building skills.
Experience working with and representing the interests of diverse populations.
High standards of professional etiquette ethics integrity and judgement.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to address complex / confidential / sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail spelling and grammar.
Highly organized with excellent project management and planning skills to achieve goals and deadlines.
Sound judgement strong analytical skills.
Flexibility and adaptability in the face of changing operational priorities.
Ability to work under pressure independently and as a team player.
Knowledge of and experience working in the Fraser Valley and asset
