Video Systems Engineer / SME
Location: Bethesda MD (Hybrid Onsite 3x/week)
Duration: 10 months (likely extension)
Clearance: Must pass background check
Rate: $140K$150K bonus & benefits
Start: ASAP (46 week onboarding for GFE/badge)
Overview:
Seeking a hands-on Video Systems Engineer / SME to lead enterprise video conferencing design implementation and support for this government agency - Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) team. This is a highly technical role supporting video modernization efforts across hundreds of conference rooms.
Top Responsibilities:
Architect and implement enterprise video services (MS Teams Cisco vBrick Webex etc.)
Design and standardize A/V conference rooms (Cisco Room Kits matrix/distribution systems)
Provide Tier III support and troubleshoot video/VoIP issues (e.g. call drops codec mismatches)
Document processes and support lifecycle management of UC/video systems
Collaborate across internal teams and end-users to deliver seamless solutions
Must-Have Skills:
Expertise in MS Teams Meetings Cisco VCS/TMS eCDN platforms (vBrick Microsoft eCDN)
Deep knowledge of video protocols: SIP RTMP H.264/H.265 HDMI resolutions audio/video codecs
Hands-on experience with Cisco Room Kits video matrix/distribution digital signage
Strong troubleshooting of VoIP/video issues (dead air call drops etc.)
Ability to work onsite in Bethesda 3x/week on-call support when needed
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Preferred Certifications:
Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Admin or Collaboration Comms Engineer
