Job Description

As a Production Manager you will lead manufacturing operations of the plant hourly workforce for our surface protection and film technologies team. You will oversee daily production activities ensuring safety quality and efficiency standards are met while improving across the operation and promoting collaboration across teams including R&D Quality Engineering and Supply Chain. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager this is a critical leadership role with a growing team focused on the latest automotive and industrial surface solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees through accurate maintenance of equipment and facilities.

  • Eliminate health hazards to prevent work stoppage and time loss due to accidents.

  • Follow all applicable environmental health and safety regulations and policies.

  • Implement the use of Lean Manufacturing tools and systems to improve consistency reduce cycle time lower total production costs and eliminate waste.

  • Manage coating laminating and finishing operations.

  • Manage shipping and receiving operations

  • Develop processes that improve line performance in speed uptime appearance safety and total cost.

  • Ensure output from all operations meets quality requirements for product specification appearance weight and markings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical field.

  • 5 -7 years of progressively responsible manufacturing experience with at least five years of experience supervising multiple individuals.

  • Prior experience in Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.

  • Prior experience leading production hourly operations
