This position will manage all aspects of the NCAA Division I Softball program in alignment with the rules and regulations of the NCAA the Big West Conference and the mission of the University. This includes the recruitment and development of student-athletes competitive success academic achievement and fostering a positive team culture that supports the holistic growth of each student-athlete.
Thorough understanding of NCAA rules and regulations with a demonstrated commitment to upholding compliance and institutional integrity. Proven success in collegiate coaching and recruiting with a strong track record of attracting and developing high-level student-athletes. Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver clear tailored messages across multiple platforms and effectively engage diverse audiences. Collaborative leadership approach with the ability to build positive relationships and contribute meaningfully to organizational goals. Resilient and results-driven with a demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced high-pressure environments and consistently deliver outcomes.
Strategic and analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex or conflicting information make sound decisions and approach challenges with a solutions-first mindset. Demonstrated ability to foster a respectful inclusive and collaborative environment ensuring that every student employee and community member is treated with dignity and respect. Heavy work - Job involves lifting more than 40 pounds. Approximately half of the incumbents time will be spent walking standing squatting kneeling or climbing.

CSU MPP Compensation Summary Range: The MPP Comp Summary Range for this position is $11064 - $16596 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education experience and qualifications the candidate brings to the position internal equity and the hiring departments fiscal resources.

Long Beach State Athletics is committed to following NCAA Big West Conference Golden Coast Conference and Mountain Pacific Sports Federation rules and regulations. Therefore the incumbent is required to maintain a working knowledge of these rules and regulations.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information.
