Why You Will Love this Job:

Under the direction of the Director (AMPS) for Residential & Power Products the Sales and Application Training Specialist will be responsible for delivering high-impact training programs focused on residential generator sales and application. This role emphasizes training execution and relationship development with our dealer and distributor network. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical knowledge and proven sales experience to effectively educate and engage partners.

Specific responsibilities

  • Deliver instructor-led training (ILT) on sales strategies application sizing and technical selling for home backup power systems.

  • Facilitate hands-on application training classroom sessions and virtual courses.

  • Leverage real-world sales scenarios to teach effective consultative selling approaches and product application.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with training partners acting as a trusted resource and advocate.

  • Collaborate with the curriculum development team to provide field feedback and suggest improvements.

  • Stay current on product specifications and application best practices for Kohler home energy solutions.

  • Represent Kohler Home Energy professionally while supporting internal and external partner growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or 10 years of relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated background in sales and technical applications preferably in residential or power system products.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for teaching and partner enablement.

  • Ability to interpret and present technical product information clearly.

  • Proficiency with common sales tools and training delivery platforms (e.g. Zoom Microsoft PowerPoint etc.).

  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel generally once per quarter.

The Salary range for this position is $76050.00-$ specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience their education and the work location.
