Shift: Monday - Friday
As the Assistant Plant Manager Contract Manufacturing Division at MGM Products Inc. you will report directly to the Director of Contract Manufacturing and become an integral part of the success of daily operations. This position involves coordinating schedules and meetings preparing operational reports tracking production data and facilitating communication across departments. The Assistant will also help monitor KPIs support inventory and procurement processes assist with safety documentation and ensure smooth onboarding and training of plant staff.
Job Duties:
- Support the Plant Manager with scheduling meetings and administrative tasks
- Track inventory and assist with procurement activities
- Collect and analyze data on production efficiency and quality
- Help onboard and track training for plant staff
- Maintain employee records and timekeeping support
- Determines the effect of production load changes on plant operations.
- Maintains continuous dialogue and communication with the director on the status of safety quality production schedules capacity problems and opportunities to maximize efficient operations and to enhance the overall profitability of the company.
- Participates in acquiring talent for key manufacturing positions and assists in their development.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in an administrative or operations role preferably in manufacturing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Adept at building high performance teams with highly engaged employees
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or safety compliance is a plus
