INTRODUCTION
Provides administrative and educational leadership which places CTAHRs academic program as a noteworthy national program and prepares students for a dynamic world in which they must be technologically advanced entrepreneurial and have a state country and worldwide focus.
Plans develops implements and evaluates CTAHRs academic programs including interdisciplinary and distance learning programs and ongoing curricular revisions.
Links CTAHRs academic programs with the Universitys academic program.
Develops policies and budgets with the Deans concurrence.
Promotes the Colleges academic programs that recruit and retain high-quality undergraduate and graduate students. Serves as liaison to high schools community colleges employers and others.
Actively seeks and encourages instructional faculty to seek external funding and enhance the Colleges academic programs.
Administers student services and counseling programs for CTAHR and ensures that departmental advising programs for undergraduate and graduate students are in accordance with established policies.
Collaborates with department chairs and program coordinators to ensure that their academic programs meet emerging student needs and stated student learning outcomes.
Establishes linkages with end-users of the academic program to develop a more effective curriculum through end-user feedback relevant internship programs and job placement.
Serves as a catalyst for leadership development among students coordinating development and recognition activities to improve student learning.
Develops implements and maintains a faculty development program that focuses on helping students learn and develop their critical skills.
Participates in promotion tenure and post-tenure evaluation of CTAHR faculty.
Engages in fundraising in collaboration with the Dean and CTAHRs Development Officer to support student scholarships and educational enhancement activities.
Serves on designated College and University committees.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Ph.D. in a discipline relevant to CTAHR and qualified as a tenured Rank 5 professor.
Five (5) years of leadership experience in higher education at the department chair or program director level or higher administrative position.
Record of teaching excellence at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Ability to develop and implement innovative pedagogies including experiential and technology-enhanced learning.
Ability to develop and implement innovative academic and student success programs.
Ability to secure grant and scholarship funds to support academic innovations.
Knowledge of advising services and ability to supervise staff.
Excellent communication skills interpersonal abilities and the ability to work in a strong team environment to achieve CTAHRs mission and goals.
Experience in online teaching and learning.
Experience in student affairs administration.
Experience in building K-12 pipelines and community college transfer pathways.
