The Surgeon is responsible for providing pre-operative operative and post-operative management of patient care within the multi-disciplined clinical team. Additionally the Surgeon will provide the clinical lead within surgical facilities in support of the Iqarus Regional Medical Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform surgical interventions including damage control surgery and surgical procedures for emergency surgical cases to deliver life limb and function saving medical treatment
Direct and coordinate activities of nurses specialists and other medical staff
Recognise and record information on medical condition and surgical risk
Stabilise and support a casualty before evacuation by air or land in support of ER clinical team if required
Liaise with other medical staff to ensure continuity of care
Ensures that all medical records are properly kept and maintained
Provision of clinical reporting
Support clinical mentoring for staff development
Ensure best practice in line with clinical guidelines and SOPs
Support the clinical excellence framework under direction from the Regional Medical Director.

Qualifications :
Qualifications & Experience:
University Degree in Medicine with a minimum of 5 Years post qualification experience
A specialist qualification and/or formal education program in Surgery.
Remain clinically up to date in surgical procedures and demonstrate operating time.
