King County Parks is excited to announce two Special Duty Assignments (SDA) for the role of Assistant Operations Manager. This dynamic role offers a chance to leverage your supervisory and leadership expertise while driving meaningful improvements in staff engagement cross-team collaboration and operational efficiency. Your contributions will enhance the workplace experience for parks employees and elevate the quality of service for park visitors.
About the Role:These two SDA Assistant Operations Manager roles will help manage the daily operations and oversight of the Parks Operations Section. The Assistant Operations Manager will support the Operations Manager by enhancing coordination communication accountability and program effectiveness among the supervisory and operations staff. These two SDAs will run concurrently; one candidate will be assigned to oversee the Operations Business/Program Administration unit and the other will be assigned to oversee the Field Maintenance Operations unit.
About the Team:The Parks Operations Section includes approximately 180 full-time staff and 115 temporary employees. Our various lines of business offer support positions that provide a wide range of experiences offering valuable growth opportunities for individuals at all levels of experience.
