Purpose
Describe the primary goals objectives or functions or outputs of this position.
Assess and address economic evaluations and value propositions that guide decision makers in their processes towards establishing rational and evidence-based treatment guidelines to inform respective brand strategies and tactics placing the patient at the center of any efforts and operating within AbbVie business code of conduct policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
List up to 10 main responsibilities for the job. Include information about the accountability and scope.
- Evaluate and utilize HEOR needs for local data studies economic approaches in order to address HTA and payer & provider requirements and to support the launch of new products.
- Maintain continuous relationship and awareness with health economic KOLs and HE community in order to access primary data.
- Provide relevant pharmaco-economic local data to the brand teams to enable demonstration of value of brands and to support market access.
- Partner with HQ HEOR to understand adapt and populate the key components of research outcomes and quantitative models to local environment in order to influence strategic decision making and demonstrate the economic impact and benefits of AbbVie products at affiliate level and with external stakeholders (e.g. HTAs/Payers/Regulatory Agencies patient advocacy groups and KOLs).
- Provide input to HQ HEOR about needs of the affiliate to be considered when developing global HEOR models. Partner with Area HEOR Director to align Global development plans with local/Area requirements and identify opportunities where HQ HEOR can provide support for local market challenges.
- Provide input to and align with the medical department for the inclusion of local HEOR end-points into medical studies and synthesize conclusions of modeling exercises.
- Develop lead and coach team members and direct reports (if applicable)
- Lead and/or support manuscript generation.
Qualifications :
Preferred but not essential qualifications
- Knowledge of HTA payer and provider requirements and processes.
- Knowledge of the principles and methodologies of Health Economics.
- Ability to perform meta-analysis and evidence-based medicine to enhance HEOR models.
- Ability to understand and develop recommendations for epidemiological and observational studies.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross functional setting
- Preferred:
Health economics degree qualification or equivalent.
Track record of success in relevant roles within the pharmaceutical industry or an academic institution.
