Job Description
Midland University a private liberal-arts college in Fremont Nebraska (just outside of metro Omaha) is seeking an exceptional nursing faculty member with expertise in basic medical-surgical nursing for an adjunct position in the School of Nursing beginning August 2025.
Responsibilities will include but are not be limited to:
Teaching clinical content to include simulation and skills lab
Engaging students with innovative teaching practices that foster clinical judgment
Qualifications:
Unencumbered Registered Nurse License in the state of Nebraska or Iowa
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or active pursuit of MSN degree
Minimum of 2 years experience in medical surgical nursing care
Ability to meet clinical agency requirements such as a background check abuse check drug
testing CPR immunizations health care insurance and etc.
Passion for preparing nursing professionals with the knowledge and skills to enter the nursing
marketplace
Ability to create relevant learning opportunities in the clinical setting that meet professional
expectations and standards
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Previous teaching experience in nursing education.
Familiarity with Canvas or other Learning Management System that facilitates face to face
hybrid and online teaching modalities
Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
The ability to foster a positive work culture that encourages change and innovation
