Mergon UK are looking for a Tool Change Fitter & Setter to join our team in Blackburn. This role will be involve changing the tools and dyes on the production machinery driving a FLT and mechanical repairs.
Hours of Work:2pm 10pm Monday to Fridays
Key Responsibilities:
Driving a FLT to carry out tool and die changes to blow and injection moulding machines on a busy production shopfloor.
Inspection of tools and reporting of faults and or damage to the Engineering department. Assisting with basic level mechanical repairs.
To ensure the secondary equipment required is available and operating correctly.
Complete the paperwork associated with tool changes.
To be successful in this roleyou will likely have:
- At least 3 years experience ideally previously worked in a manufacturing environment but not essential.
- FLT driving qualification.
- Lifting and Slinging experience.
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence others and work as part of a team.
- Ability to work independent and part of a team.
- Willingness to undertake any necessary training as identified to fulfil the duties and responsibilities of the role.
