Job Description
- Assist in planning and implementing the daily program
- Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment and in preparing needed materials and supplies
- Helps with general housekeeping tasks including the serving of snacks and sanitizing the tables
- Maintain a professional attitude
- Treat all children with dignity and respect.
- Attend staff meetings and recommended training programs
- Oversee and supervise children in small groups
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be certified in Infant/Child and Adult CPR and First Aid (school will provide some training)
- Complete 16 hours of Professional Development in Early Childhood topics (annually)
- Prior to starting must complete:
- Fingerprinted/Background check (through school)
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Protecting Gods Children Workshop (available through Archdiocese of Detroit)
- TB test and physical
- MIRegistry health and safety training
- High School Diploma or GED equivalence
- Availability to work from 2:30-6:00pm 3-5 days a week as well as some mornings 7:00-7:40am
