Job Description
Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of the largest school divisions in Alberta serving the education needs of approximately 17950 students in 42 schools. EIPS is recruiting a full-time Junior High Teacher at Lakeland Ridge. Teaching assignment includes Grade 7/8/9: Math Science and Options.
Lakeland Ridge serves approximately 720 students in kindergarten to Grade 9 with 32 teaching staff and 11 support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park AB.
Lakeland Ridge focuses on academic excellence technology fitness and recreation art and community involvement. The schools motto Pride in our Pack is demonstrated daily through strong literacy programs and initiatives an excellent character education program leadership and peer support opportunities athletics and extracurricular activities such as the Linking Generations program.

Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Education degree
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Effective organization and classroom management skills
- Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe supported and challenged
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice
- Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
- First Aid training would be an asset
