What Will You Do
As the Manager of Environmental Services at Pine Rest youll be part of tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and for assisting in the supervision labor and cost controls of the Housekeeping Department. Maintains clean guest and public areas at all times. Provides excellent guest service in an efficient courteous professional manner. The Environmental Services Manager isdedicated to excellent customer service enthusiastic about the care we offer and foster a sense of belonging and empowerment in a diverse workplace.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in solving non-routine problems by giving advice and direction to other staff and outside sources.
Assist with hiring disciplinary actions up to terminations scheduling and performance reviews.
Provide coverage when necessary and working on floor care windows lights as well a general housekeeping skills.
Responsible for the careful use of resources (i.e. responsibility for high cost equipment) impacting them in a significant function.
Assists in creating a customer friendly environment by anticipating and responding to requests.
Performs routine inspections to ensure that cleaning of area meets required cleaning standards.
Inspects assigned areas to ensure that personnel are following established cleaning schedules and all work is completed properly.
May perform regular inspections of department equipment to assure that it is clean and in good working condition.
Ensures that progress meets established quality standards and is being performed according to written and/or oral instructions.
Inventories and maintains close control of equipment and supplies to avoid excessive use and ensure sufficient operating supplies.
Sets an example and standards by being on time being attentive to work following policies and procedures of department and by correcting unsatisfactory acts or performance without prejudice.
Monitors the departmental work atmosphere to assure early intervention into low morale problems.
Creates department staff schedules and ensures accurate staffing levels.
Assures that all departmental employees have access to information regarding changes to organization policy in a timely manner.
What Does This Role Require
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
5 years of previous experience with progressively more responsible duties
