Job Description & Summary
This position combines the design management and operational oversight of cloud and data center solutions across a global enterprise environment. The role is responsible for architecting robust cloud infrastructure leading the operational management of cloud services ensuring high availability performance and security across all hosting platforms.
As a subject matter expert in cloud systems the individual will oversee strategic initiatives drive technological innovation and lead a team dedicated to delivering scalable and integrated cloud-hosting services. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to align cloud strategies with business objectives manage enterprise cloud operations and implement best practices and continuous improvements in a dynamic IT landscape. Youll be responsible for ensuring the GHS operations & platform are performing in line with published SLA.
Preferred Skills & Knowledge
Profound knowledge of Windows server operating systems and a familiarity and understanding of Linux in the cloud. Familiarity with system configuration maintenance and troubleshooting.
Minimum of 5 years in an enterprise hosting environment with significant hands-on experience managing and deploying in cloud environments such as MS Azure and AWS.
Responsibility for the consistent strategy configuration and ongoing OS compliance of all operating systems
Preferred Certifications Azure AZ-304 AZ-305
Additional certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are advantageous
Life cycle management of the operating systems
Overseeing workstream deliverables including regular reporting capacity availability and regular SOPs reviews and updates
Implementation of new operating systems standards
Budget management
Identifying automation opportunities and drive continuous improvements
Mastery of a wide array of Microsoft Azure services networking components and associated technologies including but not limited to: Azure NSGs ASGs Load Balancers UDRs VNet integration Service Endpoints Private Endpoints and more.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in cloud technology and proactively recommend new solutions to enhance our clients cloud investments.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools such as PowerShell Azure CLI Python and Bash.
Excellent knowledge of AI/ML concepts and their application within cloud environments.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities coupled with a proactive and analytical approach to troubleshooting.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to seamlessly engage with diverse teams.
Proficient in service management with a robust understanding of incident change and service request management processes.
Knowledgeable in logging and monitoring tools like Prometheus Datadog Splunk and Azure Monitor.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and GitHub.
Design and implement virtual networks (VNets) with optimized subnets and IP addressing.
Manage Network Security Groups (NSGs) and Application Security Groups (ASGs) for granular network security.
Configure and optimize load balancers to ensure high availability and performance.
Define and manage User-Defined Routes (UDRs) for tailored network routing.
Implement Service Endpoints and Private Endpoints to establish secure connectivity.
Seamlessly integrate PaaS services with VNets to enhance security and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design implement and optimize PaaS solutions aligned with business requirements.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to efficiently provision scale and manage diverse PaaS services and networking components.
Contribute to the implementation and enhancement of DevOps practices enabling continuous integration delivery and deployment.
Monitor system performance troubleshoot incidents and resolve issues to ensure uninterrupted service availability.
Act as a technical escalation point for complex incidents collaborating with support teams for swift issue resolution.
Provide expert technical guidance to internal teams on various Azure PaaS services and networking components.
Proficiency with HashiCorp stack tools including Terraform Vault and Consul along with respective certifications.

Qualifications
5 years of experience in an enterprise hosting environment. Significant hands-on experience in both MS Azure and AWS cloud environments. Knowledge in server OS and virtualization platforms (VMware Hyper-V)
Experience with operating system hardening and understanding of global security requirements. Familiarity with industry standards and compliance frameworks such as ISO27001 and SOC-2.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with different departments and leadership levels.
Knowledge of Disaster Recovery process
ITIL certification is a plus
Experience in delivering cross-border global services and working in virtual teams is a plus
