Description

San Antonio Christian School is seeking a warm organized and dependable Attendance Clerk & Receptionist to serve as the welcoming face of the front office while ensuring accurate and timely tracking of student attendance records. Located on a beautiful 71-acre campus SACS is a non-denominational covenant Christian school with small class sizes and quality academics coupled with a wide range of art and athletic opportunities which provide students with a Christ-centered education while fostering a life of faith and service.

This entry-level position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who values hospitality and consistency and enjoys supporting a Christ-centered educational environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism discretion and a servant-hearted approach to all who walk through the doors or call the school.

This person shall be spiritually mature and shall instill a life of Faith Character and Academic Excellence in those around them adhering to SACS Heart of a Lion Core Values.

JOB DUTIES COMPETENCIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor student arrivals and departures; maintain accurate daily attendance records.
  • Process attendance reports tardy slips and early dismissals in a timely manner.
  • Follow up with parents regarding unreported absences according to school policy.
  • Coordinate student check-ins and check-outs ensuring proper documentation.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependable attendance.
  • Maintain a clean organized and welcoming front office environment.
  • Greet and assist all visitors parents and students with warmth professionalism and courtesy.
  • Answer incoming calls route to appropriate staff and take accurate messages as needed.
  • Issue visitor badges and maintain front desk sign-in logs.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and deliveries.
  • Support office-wide communication efforts such as sending reminders posting updates and preparing print materials.
  • Assist with clerical tasks including data entry filing and recordkeeping.
  • Support administrative staff with general office projects as needed.
  • Help with special events and school activities as directed.
  • Monitor front office safety and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Submit to and support school leadership participating in meetings trainings and required events.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Prefer bachelors degree.
  • Prior office school or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in customer service.
  • Able to handle multiple projects independently and collaboratively.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity regarding sensitive employee information with discretion empathy and professionalism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal with the ability to handle multiple projects independently and collaboratively.
  • Advanced technology skills with the capacity to troubleshoot adapt to new systems and support digital workflows with minimal supervision.
  • Acknowledge Christ as Lord and Savior and be an active member of a local evangelical church that aligns with the schools essential beliefs Nicene Creed and statement of faith.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and have reliable transportation.
