Office of Fiscal & Monitoring Services
The Office of Fiscal and Monitoring Services (OFMS) Fiscal Services Division is responsible for developing implementing and monitoring all the Agencys budget activities. This encompasses the biennial budget process annual budget implementation and projecting federal budget estimates. The Division is also responsible for the management of the Agencys revenue disbursements and financial obligations as well as performing daily federal cash draws reconciles and reports on federal grant status. What Youll Do
Financial Analyst position in the Bureau of Accounting and will be a position suited for an individual who is eager to gain in-depth knowledge of various functions within accounts receivables.
In this position you will be expected to research and analyzes complex information; prepares and process intrastate transfer vouchers (ISTVs) for all state agencies; prepare and process invoices. Research agency deposit coding errors and prepare and process a modification of deposit (MODs) to correct coding errors. Analyze and manipulate various Cognos reports daily for financial data. Research payments received from entities outside of ODJFS to reconcile present balances owed and determining which accounts the monies are to be deposited; identifies and communicates key insights to leadership team based on reports and analysis; Process daily deposits and numerous wires within OAKs TOS Touch Point system and our Huntington lockbox accounts. Create customer accounts within OAKs to prepare for incoming payments to process and reconcile those accounts. Reconcile child support payments from 88 counties to create deposits. Learning curve attention to detail comfort with communicating with individuals outside of the unit. Working with assisting all programs areas with ODJFS with travel which include working within the Advanced Lodging Payment System reconciling those transaction. Create desk procedures. Assist with petty cash process.
Multi-tasking attention to detail researching incoming payments comfort with communicating with individuals outside of the unit which can affect daily tasks.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Travel: Travel required as needed. Must provide own transportation or in order to operate a state vehicle you must have a valid drivers license.

Pay Information
This position is in the State of Ohios OCSEA/AFSCME Pay Schedule Pay Range 30. Unless required by legislation or union contract starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1 currently $24.66 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
