Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Empath Health.
Position: CNA
Hours: 8a-5p M-F
Location: ALF/NH
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical care to patients including bathing changing linens feeding assisting with ambulation and transfers and supporting range-of-motion exercises and positioning.
- Reinforce dressings as needed and adhere to infection control procedures and Standard Precautions against Bloodborne Pathogens.
- Perform light housekeeping duties in patient areas including laundry trash disposal meal preparation dishwashing cleaning disinfecting equipment and replenishing supplies.
- Collaborate with other Hospice team members to educate primary caregivers and families regarding physical care disease processes and emotional support for patients.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate from Florida State.
- Six months of experience as a CNA in a hospital or long-term care skilled nursing facility preferred. A letter of recommendation from an instructor may be requested for candidates with no prior job experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Certification.
- Valid Florida drivers license current auto insurance coverage and access to a reliable vehicle.
