The Association for Individual Development (AID) since 1961 has served individuals with developmental intellectual physical and/or mental health challenges those who have suffered a trauma and those at risk. We are looking for aSpecialist for Grant Reporting who demonstrates this mission and wants to work for an organization that makes a difference in the community.
What you will be doing
Responsible for myriads of functions within the Finance Department. Grant reporting and timely submission of all reports. Work with the Resource Development and program staff to ensure expenditures are appropriate to charges to grants reconciling inconsistencies and assure spending meets donor requirements and deadlines. Recommend grant budget adjustments of necessary. Track deadlines and submit financial reports to granting agencies as required. Preparation of supporting documents as required by funders. Use independent judgement to perform quarterly billing audits. Assist with analysis of key general ledger accounts reconciliations and research variances. Works with outside auditors on fieldwork for annual audit. Respond to AID staff questions/inquiries/notifications on any related matters. Familiar with State of Illinois payments reporting and confirmation procedures. Other tasks and projects as assigned by AVP of Finance/CFO.

Education: Accounting degree preferred or 2yrs professional experience
Experience: Familiarity with computerized accounting systems State reporting strong Excel skills general office experience.
Other Requirements:Problem solving time management detail orientated good organizational skills.
Equipment: All standard office equipment (telephone computer copiercalculator)
