Purchasing Associate works with Product Management Purchasing Sales Warehouse Operations and Quality to effectively work priorities. They utilize SAP software systems to perform purchasing and inventory transactions and analysis. Communications with internal and external suppliers will be required on a frequent basis to determine pricing turnaround time (TAT) and delivery commitments. They visit key suppliers to understand their processes and capabilities as they relate to CSA requirements. Purchasing specialists place purchase orders and repair orders to support the organizations business plan. CSA interfaces with both repair vendors that overhaul material as well as suppliers from whom we purchase material for resale in the market. CSA utilizes a large international supply base and has built very positive relations with them over the years.

What You Will Do:

  • The Purchasing Analyst job is to effectively support CSA Buyers/WIP Analysts including indirect Global Workshare employees.

  • Place purchase orders with brokers suppliers and repair stations in a manner which maximizes profit customer fill rate and satisfaction while minimizing investment in finished goods inventory for the Commercial Serviceable Assets (CSA) organization.

  • Work with repair shops to ensure they are meeting established target turn times

  • Communicate problems potential solutions and action plans clearly and comfortably to the Purchasing team and management

  • Additional responsibilities will include establishing effective procurement strategies that improve quality through use of continuous improvement tools assisting in driving lower costs to the business and helping in achieving plan ROS and Inventory Turnover results for the business.

  • Analyzing and resolving procurement issues by interfacing with procurement suppliers and repair vendors.

  • Driving improvements in repair vendor quality and delivery performance.

  • Identifying recurring inventory and procurement problems that impact the ability to meet Sales/Inventory goals & objectives and developing recommendations for corrective actions

Qualifications You Must:

  • A Bachelors Degree and 2 years of experience including material buyer and supply chain or an Advance Degree and less than 2 years of experience.

  • Microsoft Office tools (Excel PowerPoint)

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills influence presence ability to interface internally and externally with suppliers.

  • Excellent time management skills - manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet team performance cadence (purchase requisition/purchase order updates purchase order placement cycle time supplier on-time-delivery and other company metrics)

  • Knowledge of SAP

  • Be self-directed results-oriented and a team player

  • Supplier liaison/procurement knowledge/experience

  • Ability to interface with end-user customers and suppliers as required

This role is:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 66000 USD - 130000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
