The Role

As Commercial Director youll be at the centre of Gravitas commercial engine. Leading initiatives that improve pricing optimise contracts and enhance operational efficiency. Youll work closely with senior leadership and service line heads to ensure our commercial frameworks are robust scalable and aligned with our growth ambitions.

Youll also oversee compliance and risk management ensuring we operate with integrity and confidence. While legal expertise is valuable this role is about using that knowledge to enable smart strategic business decisions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading commercial strategy across contracts pricing and supplier relationships
  • Driving improvements in working capital and charging structures
  • Supporting M&A activity and business transformation projects
  • Overseeing compliance risk and data protection frameworks
  • Advising senior stakeholders on commercial and operational matters
  • Managing external advisors and ensuring were protected and positioned for growth

Qualifications Knowledge & Experience:

Youre commercially minded confident in front of senior leaders and comfortable navigating complex business environments. Youve likely spent time in a senior commercial or legal role within a professional services consultancy or regulated business and you know how to balance risk with opportunity.

Youll have:

  • At least 7 years experience in commercial or legal leadership
  • A strong understanding of contracts pricing and business operations
  • Experience in M&A compliance and risk management
  • The ability to influence lead and deliver results across teams

Youll need to be confident proactive and strategic with the ability to lead a function and influence at board level with excellent ethical standards and integrity. A background in a private equity-backed business would be a bonus.

The Nitty Gritty

  • Our standard working week is a 37.5-hour week on a hybrid basis
  • Core working hours are 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday
