Job Title: Cloud Security QA Engineer (with Automation Background) Location: Hyderabad – India Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Security QA Engineer with a strong background in automation to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for testing and securing our cloud-based systems ensuring that our products meet security standards and quality benchmarks. Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Security Testing: Perform security testing on cloud-based applications and infrastructure (AWS Azure GCP etc.) to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
Automated Testing: Develop and execute automated test scripts to evaluate security functionalities vulnerabilities and integration points across cloud platforms.
Vulnerability Management: Identify security risks and vulnerabilities in cloud environments report findings and collaborate with development teams to remediate.
Test Planning: Design and implement test strategies and plans focusing on security performance and scalability.
Risk Assessment: Conduct regular security assessments (penetration testing vulnerability assessments etc.) on cloud systems and software.
Security Best Practices: Recommend best practices in cloud computing environments.
Documentation: Create detailed reports of test results security issues and resolutions. Maintain clear and concise documentation of security procedures test cases and automation frameworks.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest cloud security trends tools and technologies to enhance the security of cloud platforms.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Electronics Engineering Information Security or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
Proven experience in cloud security testing quality assurance and automation (2 years preferred).
Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with security tools (e.g. Burp Suite Nessus OWASP ZAP etc.) and automated testing frameworks (e.g. Selenium JUnit TestNG Python Shell script).
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of cloud security principles and common vulnerabilities (e.g. OWASP Top 10 Cloud Security Best Practices).
Expertise in scripting languages like Python Bash or PowerShell for automation purposes.
Knowledge of security concepts like encryption identity management access control and multi-factor authentication.
Certifications (Optional but Preferred):
AWS Certified Security Specialty or equivalent cloud security certifications.
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or similar penetration testing certifications.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills to report and explain security findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
