We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anesthesiologist to join our reputable healthcare team in Abuja. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing anesthesia care and pain relief before during and after surgical and medical procedures. This role requires clinical expertise patientcentered communication and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care.
Conduct thorough preoperative assessments including review of patient history medications allergies and risk factors.
Develop personalized anesthetic plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Educate patients and their families on the anesthetic process including risks benefits and recovery expectations.
Administer appropriate types of anesthesia (general local regional) with precision and care.
Monitor and interpret vital signs including ECG blood pressure oxygen saturation and respiratory status.
Adjust anesthetic levels in realtime to maintain optimal patient stability and comfort.
Perform airway management including tracheal intubation and extubation when necessary.
Provide comprehensive postanaesthesia care including pain management and monitoring recovery.
Assess recovery progress and determine readiness for discharge from recovery units.
Offer postoperative education and communicate effectively with patients families and clinical teams.
Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Postgraduate Fellowship in Anaesthesia from a recognised body (e.g. National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or West African College of Surgeons).
Full registration and valid license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
Completion of a oneyear internship and NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
Demonstrated experience in anesthesia and perioperative care in a clinical setting.
