Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on operational and strategic matters.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory obligations.
- Draft review and manage contracts policies and other legal documents.
- Manage relationships with regulators and external legal counsel.
- Conduct compliance audits and oversee risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead staff training on regulatory and compliance matters.
Requirements:
- LLB and must be called to the Nigerian Bar.
- Minimum of 2 years postNYSC experience in legal and compliance roles.
- Experience in the microfinance or broader financial services industry preferred.
- Indepth understanding of CBN regulations corporate law and compliance frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal communication and analytical skills.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g. BL ICSAN CRCM etc.) are an added advantage.
