Our client is seeking a proactive detailoriented Virtual Program & Community Coordinator to support the leadershipdevelopment initiatives. This role will focus on:
- Managing an online learning platform.
- Driving member engagement.
- Coordinating virtual (and occasional inperson) events.
- Handling content creation communications and administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate should be techsavvy organized independent and passionate about
community building and entrepreneurship.
Key Responsibilities
1. Learning Platform & Content Support
- Build and maintain courses in Mighty Networks (LMS)
- Upload organize and update training materials and videos
- Edit longform videos into concise learnerfriendly modules
- Ensure content is accessible wellstructured and onbrand
- Collaborate with subjectmatter experts to convert live sessions into evergreen content
- Capture and share success stories and member testimonials
- Repurpose content into socialmedia reels and short testimonials.
2. Membership Management & Growth
- Maintain membership records renewals and communications
- Provide prompt support via email chat and MailChimp campaigns
- Grow membership through drip campaigns digital marketing socialmedia outreach and referrals
- Build pipelines of prospective speakers and sponsors; create outreach templates
- Send timely information on events activities and communityengagement opportunities
3. Event & Workshop Coordination
- Manage online registration via Eventbrite and membership portals
- Coordinate logistics for monthly leadership luncheons (in partnership with local teams)
- Schedule and process payments for guest speakers and facilitators
- Distribute surveys analyze feedback and recommend improvements
4. Marketing & Communication
- Create and post engaging socialmedia content
- Design digital flyers newsletters and promotional materials (Adobe Suite/Canva)
- Execute MailChimp newsletters and socialmedia campaigns
- Contribute creative ideas and support digitalmarketing initiatives
5. Administrative & Team Support
- Provide virtual assistance to the Executive Director: manage scheduling documentation and daily tasks
- Track tasks timelines and deliverables in Slack (preferred) Asana or Trello
- Maintain clear communication across Kenya U.S. time zones.
- Follow up daily via Slack to ensure completion of action items.
Requirements
(a) Education & Experience
- Bachelor s degree or diploma in a relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years experience managing online communities and learning platforms coordinating virtual and inperson events; executing digitalmarketing and multimedia content (graphic design and video editing); and providing executive support.
(b) Technical Skills
- Proficiency with WordPress site updates
- MailChimp and socialmedia schedulers
- Basic video editing for LMS integration
- Visualdesign in Canva and Adobe Suite
- Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs Sheets Calendar Gmail)
- Familiarity with AI fundamentals
- Proficiency with community platforms (Mighty Networks) and CRMs a plus
(c) Availability & Setup
- 2 4 hours/day overlap with U.S. Eastern Time (split shifts acceptable)
- Access to a computer phone and unlimited highspeed internet ( 100 Mbps)
